What energy grants am I eligible for?
The checker can identify potential routes, not eligibility. It assesses ECO4, the England-only Warm Homes: Local Grant and the Boiler Upgrade Scheme in England and Wales, plus official country referrals.

What is the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?
Current standard support is £7,500 for eligible air-to-water or ground-source heat pumps. A £9,000 off-gas uplift, £2,500 air-to-air voucher and £5,000 biomass voucher have separate conditions. An MCS installer applies.
Do I need to be on benefits to qualify?
Not always. BUS has no income test. The Local Grant usually uses income of £36,000 or less or another official route. ECO4 has listed benefit routes and a separate participating-council Flex route.
When does the ECO4 scheme end?
The current ECO4 end date is 31 December 2026. Ofgem says ECO is not a grant scheme: suppliers decide funding, measures and any contribution, and a matching route does not guarantee installation.
How much insulation grant can I get in 2026?
There is no guaranteed personal award. Local Grant policy sets a £16,600 average cost cap across a project for energy-performance work and a separate £16,600 average cost cap across a project for low-carbon heat; the caps are not combined into a household entitlement. ECO suppliers decide property-specific funding. A council or supplier must confirm the actual package.
Am I eligible for free insulation in the UK?
Possibly, but no short checker can confirm it. ECO4 and the Local Grant have different benefit, income, EPC, tenure and funding rules. A supplier or council decides the final measure and contribution.
